1. Religious fanatics are now the number one threat to the planet Earth.

2. Fundamentalists no more speak for Christianity than ultra right wing Zionists speak for the Jewish community. And clearly it's a desecration to confuse the Prophet Mohammed with psychopathic terrorists.

3. Once upon a time, we had political representatives who spoke for our values and truths, but there's more spine in the back of a book than in the DLC (Democratic Leadership Council). In short, WE ARE ON OUR OWN. Practically speaking, this is the most important lesson of all, because so long as we assume we have political advocates, we won't take responsibility for saving our children and country.

4. We've learned that the American media sells its soul cheap. You can buy television anchors by the gross (the Australian Rupert Murdoch has 10 or 12 of them on his key chain). This can't be said strongly enough: the Judas American press has betrayed us; they have betrayed America. The journalists of yesterday are extinct. American television now grunts like herd of propaganda swine.

5. We've learned that White House stupidity (are you listening, George) is a luxury our species can no longer afford. Global warming is real. Murderous hurricanes are real. 3rd millennia plagues are real. Ozone holes are real. And on and on and on. We've learned that anti environmental policies turn Mother Nature into Mother Kali (the Goddess of Death). Climate changes which formerly took ten thousand years are now taking ten. So long as G. Duhbya is calling the shots, our God given environment is doomed. Said differently, it's suicidal for us to keep indulging these Bush Family air heads who have trouble even pronouncing the word science. Science haters are planet killers -- it's that simple.

6. We've learned that most Republicans are fascists (dictatorship of the rich to the max). Perhaps they've been closet Nazis all along. In any case, we now see them for what they are: lying, greed vampires who would sell your children to make a buck. Is this hyperbole and exaggeration? No. Look what they're doing to the planet. Look what they're doing to the economy. Look what they're doing to our children's health care. Look what they're doing to our retirements. Look what they're doing to our infinitely sacrificed for constitutional Republic. No; exaggeration is not the word. Rather, seeing it and saying it like it is.

7. We've learned that financial aristocracies (the "elites") and religious cults are products of social and/or biological inbreeding. And whether due to genetic abnormalities (e.g., the hemophiliac Royal families of Europe) or culturally incestuous interaction, the end result is stunted intelligence. Hence, the Bush/Evangelicals are ruinously clogging our machinery of government with the sludge of raw stupidity.

8. We've learned that George Bush is the liar of the 3rd Millennia. He wouldn't give you a straight answer if you asked him the way to the bathroom. He lied to us about Iraq. He lied to the black community in New Orleans before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina. He keeps lying to us about our hopelessly mortgaged economy and about "leaving no child behind" (which evidently means sending our children to die for Cheney/Halliburton in Iraq). President liar, liar, pants on fire. History will spit on him.

9. We've learned that for Republicans, there is no rule of law. Remember those jerks in high school who were always trying to steal your shoes? It didn't cross our minds that when they got older, they would also steal elections. First they stole the year 2000 Presidential election when Republican brown shirts stormed the Florida election centers. Then they stole several congressional seats in 2002 (seats everyone agreed, even the pugs, that the dems had locked up). And we all know about the year 2004 Presidential election and Ohio and Florida and about 20 other states. What a scam! Diebold, black box, one party voting machines. The exit polls unequivocally gave John Kerry the election, but now you see it, now you don't. We all know with absolute certainly they're going to try to do exactly the same thing in 2008 . . . but this time we'll be waiting.

10. Not a lesson, but a question. Whatever happened to that little black box under Bush's coat during the 2004 Kerry debates? Everyone could see it; we all knew it was there. Shouldn't it end up in a Presidential museum or something? Maybe he'll start wearing it again now that he's lost his smirk.

Most folks don't think, not logically, about 9-11. Most people prefer that others-so-called experts--do the thinking for them. Understandably, to really think about the events of 9-11 requires an abiding love of truth, a logical mind, a rational mind far removed from emotion and prejudice, and a trust of scientific law rather than an unquestioning trust of the state. Let us now look at only five facets using these principles of logic.

1. A building constructed over a highly sensitive, highly dangerous, highly expensive industrial site will be engineered and constructed that much stronger. Logical and rational, right? WTC-7 was engineered to be stronger, not weaker, than other buildings surrounding it, simply because it enclosed an electrical power station. But WTC-7 fell at near free fall speed. Logical deduction would conclude building 7 was purposely demolished at the end of the day on September 11, 2001, most likely to destroy evidence of arson and to clear the WTC site entirely.

2. Fuel fires burn intensely for short periods of time. Fuel fires also burn at well-known scientific temperatures. Scientifically, and thus logically, fuel fires cannot melt steel, which requires blast furnace conditions. Melted pools of steel were discovered, observed and recorded in the debris of three steel skyscrapers long after September 11, 2001. Logically then, fuel fires alone did not destroy the World Trade Center. Logically then, some other, far more powerful substance that could melt steel must have.

3. Passengers on commercial jets are required to check in at the desk and present their ticket and boarding pass. No passenger is allowed to board a major commercial carrier without first being logged onto a computer today. This list of passengers is called a flight manifest. This list of passengers is available to airline personnel within minutes. Logically then, the names of ALL hijackers should have appeared in the mainstream media hours (and days) after the flights crashed. They did not. Either there never were any hijackers or they boarded through the complicity of airline personnel, thus indicating a greater conspiracy. Logical.

4. When the chief of security of one government gives $100,000 to an alleged terrorist mastermind, and then meets with the security heads of the government to be attacked on the exact day of the attack, logically, some complicity is suspected. In the days before September 11, 2001 the head of Pakistani Intelligence, General Mahmoud Ahmed, wired $100,000 to the lead hijacker, Mohammed Atta. Ahmed then attended breakfast on the morning of 9-11 with Porter Goss, the head of the House Intelligence Committee (and the next head of the CIA) and Florida Senator Bob Graham. Coincidentally, Florida was home base to most of the alleged hijackers. According to the FBI, Indian Intelligence and several press reports, General Mahmoud Ahmad, the alleged "money-man" (to use the FBI expression), allegedly ordered the bank transfer of $100,000 to the accused 9/11 ring-leader, Mohamed Atta, and then met on the morning of the attack with a trio of US lawmakers and top intelligence insiders, Bob Graham, Porter Goss and Jon Kyl for a friendly breakfast. What exactly did they discuss? Logically then, one could conclude a huge conflict of interests. Logically one could conclude a vast government conspiracy. As if to confirm a government conspiracy between the two security states, $8 billion in US aid was funneled to Pakistan between 2002 and 2006, ostensibly to fight the war on terror. No word where that $100,000 came from (US taxpayers?), money that was wired to mastermind Atta to attack America.

5. Airplane parts are easily traceable. Airplane parts are stamped with serial numbers. Machined airplane parts are made to exact specifications. Logically an aviation expert could take any large, machined part from any of the 911 attack sites and say, yes or no, this part originated from a Boeing 757. Or did NOT originate from a Boeing 757, as Jon Carlson claims. Scientific study of the engine parts alone could have demolished any and all 911 conspiracies. Logical, correct? But because no such investigations were permitted or conducted, a huge government conspiracy appears likely. Logically then, one could conclude the conspirators had something to hide.

I have noted only FIVE suspicious anomalies. Dozens of other examples exist. For example the disappearance of the black boxes from the WTC. While first responders claimed the black boxes were found, the government denies it. Since most of the WTC debris was sifted and sorted (or melted), anyone could logically conclude the government had something to hide. Anyone could logically conclude, without too much effort, that 911 was an inside job and continues to be the greatest unsolved crime in American history.

Unfortunately, you and some others fail to see the reason why it is necessary to bring the DRAFT back into service in America. Let me give you and others the real reason.

Think about some 450,000 military and civilians who have been rotated from America to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo and other areas where Depleted Uranium Weapons were utilized. Imagine that the U.S. Government KNEW of the RADTriage dosimeter and cost of $20.00 even when the older models were brought out. Some SEALS and special ops units were provided no doubt with smaller and cheaper models which sold for perhaps $10.00 and registered similarly from 1-50 RADS. NOW let me tell you a story:

Once upon a time in America, the military males decided to use Depleted Uranium Weapons in battle on several fronts. The reason for using the DU Weapons was no force on earth had such a devistating weapons which would penetrate a tank or armored vehicle and make all occupants crispy critters in an instant killing everyone in the opposing group's armored vehicles. A NEW WEAPON DEVELOPED WITH DEPLETED URANIUM which would leave particles with a half life of perhaps 4.5 Billion Years. America and the Allies took great pleasure in the FIRST GULF WAR and SECOND GULF WAR which is still ongoing so very pleased at the fact that the so called terrorists and enemy did not have such a weapon of mass destruction which would not only destroy military personnel and weapons but be guaranteed to contaminate the entire country where the weapons were dispersed with little or no casualties to American or Allied Forces.

Military and Civilians rotated into the area without RADTriage dosimeters or any type of dosimeter took their posts as good American Combat and Support men and women thinking IF the DU was dangerous UNCLE would protect the U.S. Forces and others volunteering from Allied Forces or Civilian units in the United States. Little did all humans realize that the Military Powerful stayed many thousands of miles away commanding operations which contaminated many Nations and could spread this contamination to the rest of the World. Some civilians called for the United Nations to intervene and use the Security Council to STOP America and Allied forces to the United States from using DU weapons. Many prayed for the UN to step in and hear from two senior citizens who tried to ask for 10 minutes to appear at the UN at their own costs without payment from the United States Government or anyone!

Those brave military and civilians serving one full year IN COUNTRY with DU Weapons and DU Particles contaminating the Air, Earth, Animals, Birds, Fowl, Pets, Humans, plus Water would find by dedicated specialists from France and the United States such as Doctor Moret and Doctor Rokke that the entire areas are HOT with radiation and exposure was unknown levels for the first 450,000 brave American's serving their President. Annual ROTATION began with fresh personnel being brought over to contaminated areas for one YEAR duty and sent back home. Some units were called back for another YEAR without any way of measuring Depleted Uranium Radiation Exposure levels. Many of those who were in for one tour DIED or were DISABLED from Radiation related illnesses. Another 450,000 who would rotate for several tours without RADTriage dosimeters costing $20.00 from sales@sirad-usa.com would be again contaminated and have no knowledge of the level of contamination. SOLUTION: START THE DRAFT as we may very well loose not only 450,000 brave men and women with Radiation Contamination but the particles may spread across the GLOBE causing massive orders for BODY BAGS as the body of one contaminated cannot, IMHO, be cremated or allowed to ROT as water will take the extremely fine particles down through the soil to infect the underground streams and thus pass on to more humans, animals, insects, pets and birds who drink the contaminated water for which the less than 1 micron particles cannot be filtered.

Men, Women, Children will develop ILD which is like asbestosis a smothering disease from inhaling particles and the lungs, as GOD intended, will encapsulate the particles and make scar tissue until the human smothers to death. Mesotheleoma is a smothering disease with fine asbestos particles and these DU particles at 500 times as dangerous carried on the clothing, body and WINDS to all corners of the globe. The ONLY solution is to let the UN Security Council HEAR OF THE DANGER AND TAKE ACTION.

The UN Security Council and all Permanent Representatives have to hear the problem even if from two senior citizens of the HOST NATION who have asked multiple times for 10 minutes to talk on the dangers. Since America and American Allies are using these DU Weapons and spreading this radioactive contamination across the Planet the UN must BAN the use of a specific Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction - DEPLETED URANIUM WEAPONS. There is a hitch which many do not realize.

The UN was formed with specific Nations including the United States and Allies to the United States with VETO POWER as they have no doubt VETOED MANY UN SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTIONS and could stop any effort to sanction them EXCEPT FOR ONE POSSIBLE BLOCK TO SUCH ACTION.

America and the Allied Nations who have used DU MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE VOTING PROCESS IN THE SECURITY COUNCIL! If correct BANNING THE ACCUSED FROM VOTING BANS THE ACCUSED FROM VETO OF ANY SANCTIONS BY THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL!

The UN must hear the Depleted Uranium BAN request and vote within the Security Council MINUS AMERICA AND ALLIES WHO USE DU. If the UN Security Council passes a resolution to BAN DU and sanctions America and Allied Nations calling for immediate identification of all areas UNDER UN PROTECTION AND SECURITY then special teams could go into all areas with GEIGER COUNTERS and identify HOT areas and Tanks which are HOT plus Soil and Buildings which are HOT. The next step would be to demand the US and Allies CLEAN UP THE RADIATION AND PROVIDE RADTriage dosimeters to every living human in the hot areas to confirm radiation. Such RADTriage dosimeters can be attached to existing TANKS with DU weapons onboard to confirm the time it takes being around DU armor and weapons before the CASUALTY LEVEL IS REACHED.

Unless these people are issued dosimeters which are READ AND RESULTS DOCUMENTED IN SERVICE JACKETS those people may come back to civilian life, wait two or three years, develop radiation sickness diseases and be UNINSURABLE because of an Existing Condition.

Imagine a tank gunnery specialist coming home, fathering a baby who is born deformed... that same person must stay in the military to have full coverage for that deformed child if it lives.

It's official, the country is insane. It wasn't that long ago that police sold themselves to the public as Peace Officers. Religion used to stay where it belonged, in church. Public school children used to get picked up every morning by big yellow school buses and the only time you'd see a cop in a classroom was if he was someone's Dad on Show and Tell day. Government used to be a group of people who worked for the public's best interests and strictly regulated business and law enforcement to ensure our nation was a safe and sane place to live. All of our national energy and money went into keeping America strong and ensuring a better life for future generations.

Now, the police are paramilitary swat teams with black masks, machine guns and no sense of humor. Religion is demanding that government become an arm of the Church. School buses are gone and kids are on ritalin and prozac and taking dozens of required vaccinations that are known to be deathly dangerous. School shootings have turned campuses into low security prisons with children being searched and watched everywhere, even in the bathroom stalls. And the government has turned into a rich boy's club intent on selling the public interest to foreign elites and making back room deals to achieve global governance and privatize the whole world. Our food is toxic, our air is poisoned, and our water is tainted with chemicals and radiation. People can't afford higher education or health care and when catastrophe hits, the government no longer steps up to help.

We have a twit pro-torture president who shrugs off the Geneva Conventions and a creepy vice president who wants a hundred year war. Elections are fixed, bio-engineered microscopic bugs are making people sick, and corruption is raging in High Office and small business alike. If this isn't full blown insanity, I don't know what is. Well maybe wearing your underwear on your head and gobbling like a turkey while using your hula hoop in the driveway would qualify, but I'm talking about the big picture here.

To prove my point, each of the featured articles this week has utterly surreal elements that are enough to put you off food for a few days, but one of them is not true. It should stick out like a sore thumb but it's no more insane than anything else in the papers these days. See if you can figure out which one is pure fiction. In the mean time, I'm going to go find my old hula hoop, just in time for Thanksgiving. Which reminds me, the pbsBlog.com gang wants to wish YOU a wonderful Thanksgiving, in spite of everything else sucking, and we hope you have a truly enjoyable holiday. We're Drinking What?

Look at photos of the gigantic udders on rBST treated dairy cows and it's not hard to imagine the artificial hormone's role in increasing U.S. rates of breast and prostate cancer, precocious puberty and obesity.

But U.S. milk producers and agricultural officials continue to say Monsanto's Posilac, which has been used unlabeled in much of the U.S. public milk supply since 1994, is safe. [1]

Even as they jump all over each other to ban it.

Last year, Oregon's Tillamook County Creamery Association, the nation's second largest maker of chunk cheese, renounced rBST. [2]

This year, Dean Foods and H.P. Hood, New England's two largest milk processors, Arizona's Shamrock Farms and Northwestern Dairy Association's Darigold did. [3, 4]

And Dean Foods in Texas and Prairie Farms Dairy in Carlinville, IL, are leaning in that direction. [5]

Even Vermont Agriculture Secretary Steve Kerr has come out against rBST as his state moves toward zero tolerance. [6]

Created by combining cow DNA with E coli, (yes, that E coli) Monsanto's recombinant bovine somatotropin, rBST, designed to make cows produce more milk, was one of the first genetically modified substances approved for U.S. consumption by the FDA in 1993.

But its Frankenfood roots, hormonal actions, unlabeled status and expediency approach to agriculture--squeezing more profit out of each animal "unit"-- earned it the ire of farmers, consumer groups, environmental organizations and animal advocates. Even Mario Cuomo declaimed it when he was New York Governor. [7]

To this day rBST remains banned in Canada, Japan, the EU, Australia, New Zealand and all but 19, mostly nonindustrialized, countries though Monsanto says that's because of "an oversupply of dairy products" not safety concerns. [8]

In fact the more you learn about rBST, the more you wonder why anyone would think it is safe.

Take the unpublished rat study Monsanto supplied to the FDA for drug approval. Monsanto claimed no rats absorbed rBST in their blood stream--hence there was no need for long term toxicity studies--but Canadian scientists who obtained the study discovered that 20% to 30% of the rats did absorb rBST with biggest concentrations in (you guess it) the prostate. There were also thyroid cysts. [9]

This inspired Vermont Senators Patrick Leahy and James Jeffords to ask the U.S. Health and Human Services Department to formally investigate the FDA's approval of rBST in 1998. [9] Especially since the FDA employee in charge of labeling guidelines for rBST, Michael R. Taylor, had been a Monsanto vice president. And the FDA researcher charged with evaluating rBST levels in milk had done the same work at Monsanto. [10]

And how about IGF-1, insulin-like growth factor-1, the rBST byproduct that's associated with breast, prostate and colon cancer and may be in the milk? [11]

"IGF-1 is [a] naturally occurring human hormone commonly measured in our saliva," writes Trent Loos, columnist for the Agribusiness weekly Feedstuffs on the rBST supporting web site www.igf-1-and-milk.com. "Every person who has ever been diagnosed with cancer has also had saliva. Does that mean that saliva causes cancer? NO. Furthermore, if parents are worried about the impact of milk consumption on their kids, are they keeping the kids locked away from the sun? Malignant melanoma [is] the most serious form of skin cancer." Reassured? Me too.

Then there's the mastitis.

Occurrences of mastitis--udder infections--and lameness are so increased under rBST, a Canadian Veterinary Medical Association panel's report found, "Treated cows were at higher risk of being culled," and rBST was banned. [10]

John Shumway, a Lowville, New York dairy farmer told an Albany newspaper he had to cull a quarter of his cows after using rBST for eight weeks. [12]

And "cull chronically-infected cows," is actually one of the "general recommendations" Monsanto offers for mastitis management on its web site.

Not only does mastitis introduce antibiotic residues in milk and encourage antibiotic resistance, it has contributed to the wave of dairy downers seen in slaughterhouses in the last decade, food activists say. [13]

Some even claim the hopped up metabolic needs of rBST cows are what induced dairymen to feed downer cows to live ones in the macabre practice that transmitted mad cow disease.

As anti-rBST sentiment builds in the U.S. and the public says, "We're drinking WHAT?" Monsanto executives contend that the new rBST-free milk offerings are a marketing ploy.

They know a little about marketing ploys.

As recently as Nov. 4, 2006, President Bush was publicly praising 74-year-old Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for his service to the nation, his wartime leadership and expressed his "sincere" desire that the increasingly unpopular Rumsfeld would continue as secretary of defense until his term is over in 2008. But the president was not sincere; he was lying. The day after the election, "Rummy" announced he was stepping down from the top spot in the Pentagon. As President Bush was explaining why he lied to America about Rumsfeld's pending resignation at a day-after-election press conference, he was still praising Rumsfeld's "accomplishments". The president failed to mention that Rumsfeld's Pentagon couldn't account for "misplacing" nearly $3 trillion.

Chicago Tribune columnist Stephen J. Hedges more accurately summed up Rummy's "accomplishments" in his Nov. 12, 2006 editorial, "Winter Comes for a Beltway Lion: Rumsfeld rose and fell with his conviction intact." Hedges noted Rumsfeld's "accomplishments" are the result of his bet that ill-equipped Arabs defending their homes were no match for the technologically-superior professional military under his direction. He was wrong and history will remember him as the defense secretary who failed in Iraq. Though the end of the Rumsfeld story has yet to be written, we can state with certainty that the thousands of American soldiers and (at least) 700,000 Iraqi and Afghani men, women and children non-combatants who have been killed under his authority since Sept. 11, 2001, are merely the most recent examples of the murder and misery this ruthless beltway bureaucrat has been inflicting on our world since the late 70s

On the way up

At age 29, Princeton educated wrestling champion, navy pilot and presidential aid Republican Donald Rumsfeld was elected by Illinois to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1962. Rummy began accumulating political contacts-and power-for the next 14 years. After leaving the House, he held several high-level executive posts during the Nixon era and became the youngest defense secretary in U.S. history under Gerald Ford. When Ford lost the White House to Jimmy Carter in 1976, Rummy was unemployed in D.C. for the first time since 1962. In 1978 Rummy's career as a public poisoner-for-profit began when he became CEO of G.D. Searle, a small pharmaceutical company. When Rummy took the helm, Searle was being investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice for attempting to defraud the FDA into approving artificial aspartame as a safe artificial sweetener when lab tests proved it was a neurotoxic, carcinogenic drug. He was able to pull political strings to get Searle out of legal trouble and influenced President Reagan's appointment of Arthur Hull Hayes as FDA Commissioner to politically approve the sale of aspartame in 1981--over the objections of FDA scientists, independent researchers and consumer safety advocates.

Monsanto bought Searle for $2.7 billion in 1985, and the Searle family walked away with about $1 billion. Rumsfeld's take was about $12 million.

Let him hear their cries

Since Rumsfeld "called in his markers" to achieve aspartame approval in the 80s, millions of cases of aspartame poisoning have been reported where ever aspartame is found in foods, beverages and medical preparations. According to FDA records, adverse reactions to aspartame comprise about 80 percent of consumer complaints. The agency has published a list of 92 symptoms of aspartame poisoning which includes blindness, joint pain, chronic fatigue, weight gain, sexual dysfunction, mental illness and death. Its use is linked to chronic illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, lupus, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease-illnesses that have become globally pandemic since aspartame was approved. During the 1980s when congressional hearings were being held on the dangers of aspartame, Dr. H.J. Roberts predicted that, if aspartame approval was not reversed at that time, in five or 10 years "aspartame disease" would be a global plague. By 2001, Dr. Roberts had published the 1,038-page text "Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic" proving his prediction came to pass.

The testimonies of people who have suffered the consequences of aspartame poisoning, a cluster of symptoms most appropriately called "Rumsfeld's disease," are as varied as they are numerous. Aspartame is a multipotential carcinogen linked to a variety of cancers; a teratogen linked to birth defects; an abortifacient implicated in untold numbers of pregnancies ending unexpectedly and without explanation; a neurotoxin associated with neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders in children and the development of central nervous system complications in adults-a list that includes MS, fibromyalgia and various forms of dementia; it reacts with other chemicals to increase chemical sensitivity and; it reacts with pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines to produce a full spectrum of off-label reactions and adverse events.

It would take a several volumes to memorialize the stories of those whose lives have been adversely affected by aspartame. The fact that all the components and end products of aspartame are toxic to humans and the fact that Rumsfeld is absolutely responsible for aspartame's 25-year reign of medical misery, demands our action. Rumsfeld should be compelled to publicly defend his decision to poison the world with aspartame while in the court-ordered presence of those whose lives have been destroyed by his chemical weapon of mass misery.

Athletes

Aspartame triggers an irregular heart rhythm, interacts with cardiac medication, damages the cardiac conduction system and causes sudden death. A lot of aspartame-associated deaths are in athletes whose running depletes magnesium reserves--magnesium protects the brain and heart from excitotoxins such as aspartame and monosodium glutamate. Neurosurgeon Russell Blaylock, M.D., author of "Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills" wrote the Athlete Alert on Sudden Cardiac Death which explains the biochemical processes involved.

Poisoning American Fighting Men

Aspartame is made up of three components, aspartic acid (an excitotoxin), a methyl ester which immediately becomes methanol, then converts to formaldehyde and formic acid, and phenylalanine, (a neurotoxin as an isolate) The molecule breaks down to diketopiperazine, a brain tumor agent. Aspartame breaks down at 86 degrees or moderate temperature. During the first Gulf War, soldiers were drinking Rumsfeld poison by the pallet load in diet sodas sitting in the 120 degree Arabian son. As stated previously, aspartame (and its toxic byproducts) interacts with all drugs and vaccines. Corporate-neutral, non-government researchers explain that the enormous volume they were exposed to. Consumption of aspartame formaldehyde cocktails is likely a factor in the epidemic of of hot diet sodas consumed by Desert Storm personnel interacted with the drugs, chemicals and vaccines to which they were exposed. Consumption of aspartame formaldehyde cocktails is likely a factor in the epidemic of "Gulf War Illness" tragically affecting hundreds of thousands of Desert Storm veterans and their families.

Gulf War veteran, Geoffrey, reported yesterday what they had to drink were aspartame diet sodas and confirmed again the pallets were piled one on top of the other in the hot sun for weeks. He was young but his hair was gray as happens because of aspartame mitochondrial damage which helps you age. Aspartame addicts because of the liberation of free methyl alcohol, which causes chronic methanol poisoning. This affects the dopamine system of the brain and causes the addiction. He was still using it. His vision was affected as expected because the methanol converts to formaldehyde and formic acid in the retina of the eye and destroys the optic nerve. Prior to aspartame use he had not worn glasses. From headaches and blood pressure elevation to weight gain he is the typical aspartame victim. He is dizzy most of the time, and dizziness is #2 on the FDA list of 92 symptoms. He had no idea aspartame triggers these problems. His son is in Iraq and he planned to immediately warn him to abandon diet pop and Wrigley's gum. His best friend, a diet pop addict, was just found dead in a chair. He said, "I was fighting for my country, and I try to help people, and my health has been destroyed." Just one of millions of cases of Rumsfeld Disease.

The pop companies knew. The protest of the National Soft Drink Assn (now American Beverage) is in the Congressional Record of 1985 and explains aspartame breaks down at 86 degrees, and that it violates the adulteration statute. Coke and Pepsi knew the gun was loaded before they shipped this venom to kill and maim the troops.

Who murdered Chuck Fleming?

Diane Fleming, a mother of three and a Sunday school teacher with no criminal history, was convicted of murdering husband Chuck Fleming and sentenced to spend 30 and 20 years concurrently in a Virginia prison. The autopsy shows Chuck died of acute methanol poisoning after experiencing chronic methanol poisoning for years. The jury convicted Diane of poisoning her husband with an unopened jug of methanol-containing windshield cleaner, even though it was analyzed and they found none to be missing. Was the windshield wiper fluid found in the Gatorade he drank because this is what was alleged? Even the forensic toxicologist who gave the affidavit admitted in December 2001, while he was requested to perform certain tests involving several bottles of Gatorade mixture, which he had previously determined contained methanol, and a bottle of windshield washer fluid, he was not able to identify any. In fact, he said the method he used did not have the appropriate sensitivity necessary to identify trace concentrations of windshield washer fluid colorant in the Gatorade. He further stated he could not definitively determine whether any amount of windshield washer colorant was present in the Gatorade mixture and, therefore, did not issue a Certificate of Analysis. He then advised Investigator Elizabeth Baker of the Chesterfield County Police Department via telephone he would not be issuing a report because no definitive conclusions could be reached from the tests.

Chuck was a body builder who played basketball about four times a week and used a lot of aspartame-containing products. Several physicians including Dr. H. J. Roberts reviewed Chuck's lifestyle, aspartame intake, and studied his autopsy report. Dr. Roberts stated, "On the basis of the prodigious amounts of aspartame products he [Chuck] consumed and the finding of a severe fatal metabolic acidosis, coupled with a high concentration of methanol in the blood and no other reasonable explanation, I concur with the cause of death as methanol poisoning - in this case due to considerable methanol consumption in the form of aspartame products If the facts about this case that have been reviewed are correct, it is my firm opinion that Diane Fleming should be immediately freed from wrongful imprisonment to rejoin her familyFurthermore, the FDA should be so advised by the court, and recommend that aspartame products be labeled as an imminent health threat, and either so labeled or removed from the market."

Repeated attempts to intervene on Diane's behalf have not been able to secure her release from prison. A Motion for Reconsideration before the Virginia State Supreme Court was rejected. Diane's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus was earlier turned down.

There was complete shock Diane was ever convicted in the first place since there was no evidence. It was even admitted at the trial what he drank couldn't have killed him. The jury was asked why they convicted her and stated because Diane could show no emotion. Of course, she couldn't, she had been given Zoloft because of her anxiety on being indicted. Diane herself was using aspartame and it interacts with Zoloft and makes you like a Zombie. She was drugged.

Not even the press could believe a person could be convicted when there was no evidence. Alan Cooper of the Richmond Times-Dispatch wrote the family and stated:

"The formal sentencing of Diane Fleming is scheduled for April 25. I know of nothing else in the way of additional investigation or development. I expect her lawyer to again ask the judge to set aside the conviction BECAUSE THE EVIDENCE WAS INSUFFICIENT TO CONVICT HER.-------- I, and most of those in the courtroom, were surprised that the jury convicted her.

"It was a most unusual case, the first poisoning homicide trial I've covered in almost 30 years and hundreds of cases as a reporter. I thought the evidence showed that Ms. Fleming probably was the one in the best position to poison her husband, but there was nothing about a motive or even where the methanol, the poisoning agent, might have come from."

Diane Fleming even today still cries about losing her husband. You see her emotion when interviewed for the aspartame documentary, "Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World." But because she was drugged with aspartame and Zoloft, Rumsfeld Disease claimed another victim, and she has been in a cold prison cell for four years for a crime committed by his approval of poison.

Dr. Fierro

Virginia State Medical Examiner (ME) Dr. Marcella Fierro has the authority to recommend that Diane be released immediately based upon the forensic facts revealed in the autopsy report as supported by innumerable pieces of circumstantial evidence. After making repeated promises to talk with Dr. Roberts to discuss the possibility that Diane was wrongfully convicted of murdering her husband, Dr. Fierro, keep canceling. She was sent a copy of the peer reviewed journal article by Dr. Woodrow Monte: "Aspartame: Methanol and the Public Health". Finally she shows up for the meeting with Fleming's attorney at the time, Craig Cooley, Dr. Pearson (forensic toxicologist), Dr. Pearson's colleague from toxicology, William Davenport and Warren Von Schuch in March 2004. Again, she was given Dr. Monte's paper. When it was time for the conference call with Dr. Roberts for which the meeting was set up in the first place, she refused. He had spent hours preparing irrefutable evidence Fleming died from aspartame.

Dr. Fierro said she had done her own independent research and there was no legitimate scientific basis to conclude aspartame ingestion played any role in Chuck's methanol poisoning. She advised that no "referred" (peer reviewed) scientific or medical journal had ever substantiated the position Dr. Roberts and other citations provided were taking. Yet she was holding a scientific peer reviewed paper on the subject. Even in the 1985 congressional record, reporting the protest of the National Soft Drink Assn, now American Beverage, they admitted aspartame violated federal adulteration statutes. Aspartame liberates free methyl alcohol, making approval illegal.

If Dr. Fierro had found some evidence to dispute overwhelming evidence of methanol poisoning by aspartame it would be reasonable that she would have looked forward to talking to Dr. Roberts to explain and put the issue to rest. But she was afraid of talking to this world expert. Why?

Dr. Woodrow Monte said "Every molecule of aspartame produces a molecule of methanol." The chronic methanol poisoning was documented on the autopsy proving the fact. He was highly addicted to it stockpiling it in the garage and getting upset if the fridge wasn't always stocked with diet pop laced with aspartame.

At the meeting Dr. Fierro commented Charles had ingested methanol on two previous occasions, but that his physicians had not picked it up because they weren't looking for acute methanol poisoning. This is ludicrous. He would have been dead the first time. And how could she say on two occasions when she didn't know Fleming? This was obvious a coverup of the evidence of the chronic methanol poisoning on the autopsy. This leads to death, as in Chuck's case, building up over time from repeated non-lethal levels of ingestion, such as those that science has proven to occur with aspartame consumption. The autopsy also showed pulmonary edema seen on other autopsies of aspartame victims as well as a fatty liver, as expected. And because aspartame damages the cardiac conduction system and his autopsy showed cardiomegaly or an enlarged heart of unknown origin, this probably was the immediate cause of death.

Rather than expose aspartame and recommend Diane's conviction for murder be vacated, based upon a scientifically-supported review of her husband's autopsy report, Dr. Fierro has chosen to let an innocent woman sit in prison. Dr. Fierro has a history of using her capacity as an ME to influence the outcome of investigations for political reasons. She was the ME who authorized a revised autopsy report in the death of Vince Foster in 1993. Foster was President Clinton's Chief of Counsel. Dr. Fierro's alteration allowed Foster's apparent murder to appear as a suicide. Had the original entry location of the bullet stood, the suicide conclusion would have been hard to explain since people committing suicide do not ordinarily shoot themselves in the back of the head.

Dr. Roberts wrote the Grievance Committee of the Virginia Medical Board: : "I have seen the letter sent to you by Betty Martini, and concur with her concern about Diane Fleming whom I believe has been falsely incarcerated. My reasons were stated in two affidavits. As noted, I have been actively interested in methanol poisoning from aspartame products for more than two decades, and have written extensively on the subject.

"This is a pro bono volunteered effort intended to help an apparently innocent person. I do not know Mrs. Fleming, but her plight deserves more interest and consideration from this medical examiner. I repeatedly made myself available to Dr. Fierro for an interview/consultation, but she refused to speak to me. Under the circumstances, I also must question her indifference or bias."

The continued investigation of Dr. Fierro keeps showing a link to Senator Orrin Hatch.

Even in Commonwealth Currents, Sept 1999, there was an article about Governor Jim Gilmore announcing the establishment of the Virginia Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine. In the list of Board of Directors there they were again, Marcella F. Fierro and Senator Orrin Hatch. Senator Hatch knows exactly how deadly aspartame is. A press release dated February 11, l986 titled: "Hatch Says No To Committee Hearings on Aspartame". It states: "Senator Orrin Hatch said that he is not alarmed over the artificial sweetener aspartame, that an initial reading of documents recently delivered to him reveal no pre-approval issue that has not been thoroughly aired before, and consequently "it would serve no useful purpose to commit Committee resources to this issue at this time." Yet Hatch knew the FDA wanted the manufacturer indicted and both US Prosecutors were hired by the defense team. He also knew Rumsfeld called in his markers to get it approved when the FDA said no. Why is Senator Hatch from Utah on this Virginia Board? Since he has been trying to protect the aspartame industry for years did he confer with Fierro on this case. Is this the real reason Dr. Fierro refused to talk with Dr. Roberts. Once she had the evidence there would be no way to deny it any further. Investigative reporters should probe further. There are too many unanswered questions.

An ironic twist to the Rumsfeld legacy

A "jury" just found Saddam Hussein "guilty" of crimes for which the punishment will be death by hanging. His death will be delayed indefinitely, however, as there will be an appeals process and he will likely be tried for numerous other crimes, including the alleged mass murder of some 30,000 Kurds in northern Iraq in the 80s. There are photos and documents proving that, during the Reagan era, Rumsfeld brokered the sales of chemical weapons to Saddam Hussein-the chemicals Saddam allegedly used on the Kurds. Is it not bizarre that Saddam's downfall came with Rumsfeld as his adversary and that Rumsfeld's failure to "win" in Iraq will be the final blot on his public service career? Is it not our job to deepen the poetry of this strange twist by using Rummy's final fall from grace as a platform upon which to seek justice for all those ravaged, in one way or another, by the weapon of mass misery this man unleashed on the world 25 years ago?

Note:

For reasons that have yet to be fully understood, Dr. Fierro and the Virginia's Supreme Court have not relented in the persecution of Diane Fleming who, the evidence plainly shows, is innocent of the crime of murdering her husband. She even passed a lie detector test and the detective on the case, Bob Skowron said: "Diane Fleming did not poison her husband. I've sent a lot of people to prison but no way could I sleep at night if I was responsible for an innocent woman being convicted. I would have stopped the indictment but right at that time I got promoted and taken off the case." Absent a favorable ruling from the court ordering Diane's release, with apologies, Rumsfeld will be getting away with another murder. This time, instead of soldiers being paid to wage Rummy's private war on humanity, a sweet, charitable Sunday school-teaching mother of three will pay by spending perhaps the rest of her life in a Virginia prison.'

Just when you thought it was safe to get back on a plane, just when you thought it may be possible to fly without fear of hijacking by liquid explosive baby milk wielding psychopath Islamofascists bent on destroying 400 airliners all at once thus igniting atmospheric gasses and triggering mass armageddon all over the planet, you were wrong. You were wrong because now we must face the threat of the "nuzzling" terrorists. Carl Persing and Dawn Sewell, a couple in their early forties, were observed nuzzling or kissing each other on the neck, and allegedly engaging in more adult sexual acts. "During these actions, Sewell was observed smiling," reads the indictment filed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. OH NO NOT "SMILING" AS WELL, HOW COULD THEY? In all seriousness however, this may at first seem like an isolated incident, sadly it is not, it is the latest in an unending series of examples of ludicrous airport and airline incidents that indicate the extent to which freedom of movement is under attack. It is also the latest example in a long history of the use of the Patriot Act against lawful American citizens. Persing and Sewell are facing up to twenty years in prison for violating legislation that, although unlawfully passed, is supposed to be for use against those who commit or intend to commit terrorist acts. Today also saw a 65-year-old Australian man fined S$10,000 ($6,423), under the United Nations anti-terrorism regulations, by a Singapore court for uttering the word "bomb" on a flight to Indonesia. He was lucky he wasn't gunned down like the incident in Miami where Rigoberto Alpizar was shot on board American Airlines Flight 924 for "saying he had a bomb". Previous mind boggling airport and airline incidents include: A Wisconsin man who wrote "Kip Hawley is an Idiot" on a plastic bag containing toiletries was detained in September. An 83-year-old wheelchair bound breast cancer, broken hip from a fall and stroke victim was manhandled and treated to extra screening at At Denver International Airport, in April. Harraj Mann was reported to the British airport police for listening to a Clash record in a taxi on the way to the airport. The weasel driver was so frightened by some of the lyrics that he took them as a rallying call for a terrorist attack. A man was arrested in Portland airport in december 2002 for becoming angry when security groped his pregnant wife and ordered her to strip in front of hundreds of other passengers. Passengers on a flight returning from Malaga Spain complained about two Asian men who they thought were potential suicide hijackers. The evidence? They were Asian! To the astonishment of the students they were marched off the plane at gun point before it took off. On August 14th a British Airways flight bound for New York was diverted back to Heathrow Airport because a mobile phone rang at the rear of the plane and its owner was not to be found. In August of this year we saw the mother of all fake terror alerts used to beta test a system of total tyrannical control within airports where mothers carrying baby milk as well as gel bra wearers, lip gloss users, people who wear coats and children who carry dolls were treated as possible terrorists. Several incidents have occurred where people who rely on medication have become ill or even fallen into comas because airport staff have refused to let them take medicines on board. While a couple of weeks before a tabloid reporter had "planted a bomb" on a nuclear waste train by just walking onto it, the British and American public were being ordered around, background checked, screened and analyzed in any airport they entered. Similarly, test runs where terrorists smuggle dummy nuclear bombs across the US border without being apprehended were successfully conducted by Glenn Spencer's American Border Patrol on three separate occasions. Airports and the general public, however, remain the focus of beefed up security measures. Immediately after the very dubious plot details broke the British Government again attempted to ram though draconian detainee legislation, only to face a fierce backlash from the public who were sick and tired of being treated like mindless fools that believe anything they are told by their leaders. Airline companies too have viscously attacked the government, this week it was revealed that BA's "terror alert" bill has hit 100 million pounds. It is now clear that anything anyone does in an airport or on a plane, including talking and kissing, is being categorized as possible terrorism. This is an excuse to implement the first stage of an agenda to create a two tier caste system whereby only government authorized citizens will be able to travel and everyone will be subject to intense airport style harassment on city streets. Such idiotic excuses are being used everyday to cram our lives with escalating security measures, biometric and body scans, lie detector tests, behavior analysis, facial analysis and spot teams to spy on passengers. We are being acclimatized to these things, first within airports. Technology and measures that you don't even see used in prisons or high security facilities are being passed off as completely normal in airports. Every indication suggests that there are moves afoot to implement these measures and methods into everyday life. A year ago we were told that Federal air marshals were to expand their work beyond airplanes, launching counterterror surveillance at train stations and other mass transit facilities. So called "Visible Intermodal Protection and Response" teams — or VIPER teams, may soon be permanently implemented on everyday transport facilities. With no real threat to counter such teams will busy themselves busting people selling tokens and herding people around like cattle in 'shock and awe' programs, whatever the hell that term is supposed to mean now, prodding them through transit scanners. We are told that an attack on transit systems with in the US is inevitable, In Canada record levels of funding are now being poured into transit security to develop new surveillance networks, including cameras; develop risk assessments and security plans, and hire staff. Of course this is necessary because despite the moves to totally crank up security on transit systems, Al Qaeda has them as their main targets. The airports are merely a beta test for the exact same measures to be rolled out in major cities, where regular checkpoint officials inspect internal passports and consumers are body scanned to enter a supermarket or any kind of public event as spy drones swoop overhead to catalogue movement and alert authorities to any suspicious body language (remember Poindexter's gait analysis?). The majority of what I outlined is already being implemented at major transport and police hubs in the US and Britain. When the technology to automate these measures is more widely used, its cost will drop and in turn spread like wildfire outside of the major cities and into local communities - unless we scream bloody murder and stop it before it makes it out of the airport terminal and onto our street corners and we all end up being categorized as suspects along with the "nuzzling terrorists".

Hate Bill Will Pass

For the past eight years, the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith has tried unsuccessfully to pass its Orwellian federal "anti-hate" bill. It has failed largely for one reason: Republican control of Congress.

Repeatedly, Republican opponents of their hate bill, such as Rep. Roy Blunt and Sen. Bill Frist have been able, with Republican congressional backing, to block passage.

With Democrats now in control, such freedom-saving clout no longer exists. ADL's federal thought crimes bill, "The Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act," will be reintroduced soon after January 1. Since no Democrat in Congress has ever voted against the hate bill, it will pass. Pres. Bush has said he will sign a "modified" hate bill. If he does, free speech in America will quickly come to an end.

Unless, that is, there arises an upheaval of protest from the American people. How can that happen? Answer: Alternative right-wing talk radio has helped make it happen before; it can do so again.

Spreading Net of Thought Crime Laws

Today, from Canada to California, to Europe and Australia, ADL-inspired "thought crime" laws are stripping nations of free speech. In Canada and many European countries, it is a crime punishable by heavy fines and even imprisonment to make use of the internet to criticize federally protected groups, such as homosexuals and Muslims.

A top Canadian "hate laws" senior policy advisor recently described the power of her country's "speech crime" tribunal courts: "The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal is a quasi-judicial body. It can force a web to shut down or risk a $10,000 fine--$20,000 in extreme cases. If one ignores the Tribunal, one can be tried in federal court for contempt, and risk a 9-month jail sentence for a first-time offense." (Karen Izzard, quoted in Jewish Tribune, Sept. 21, 2006)

English-Turkish cyber-hate expert Prof. Yaman Akdeniz, speaking at a B'nai B'rith conference on how to end dissent on the net, rejoices that David Irving is behind bars. He said "continental European countries such as Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Hungary, Austria and Belgium have strong anti-hate laws, which have resulted in the imprisonment of hate-mongers. In Holland, 657 websites were removed. And in Germany, more than 700 hate websites were shut down." (ibid)

In England, two men who publicly described Islam as a "wicked faith" were indicted under Britain's anti-hate law and are fighting to avoid seven years in prison. The ADL-influenced British hate law stipulates that truth cannot be admitted as evidence in court. Only the complaints by members of specially protected groups who say their feelings have been hurt will be allowed. David Irving languishes in an Austrian prison primarily because he was forbidden to bring truth to the court in his defense.

NPN Helped Hold Back Hate Laws

Congressional Republicans have played a decisive role in keeping hate laws from similarly binding America. But there is another factor: the consistent resistance and education provided over the last 27 years by the National Prayer Network. Here is a brief history of NPN's role and my part as its director.

In 1988, after ADL held its definitive Hofstra conference on "verbal violence," I realized ADL wanted jurisdiction over all hate crimes definitions, education, enforcement, and statistics gathering for the federal government. They intended to seize control through passage of their Hate Crimes Statistics Act of 1990. I responded by creating a powerful brochure, "Will Hate Laws Make You a Lawbreaker?" which NPN sent to many thousands of key opinionmakers.

Ultimately, we failed. Congress passed the act and ADL now dominates the federal hate crimes agenda all the way down to every local police precinct in America.

Also, during the 1990s, ADL persuaded about 46 states to adopt some version of its "Model Hate Crimes Statute." These are backup "sleeper" state hate laws that can be used by ADL in lieu of a federal hate law, which is their ultimate dream.

Where were the New Right watchdogs during the 10-year period when ADL created a federal hate crimes agenda and made hate crimes law for most states? There was no organized consistent opposition apart from some excellent research on the danger of hate laws done by Robert L. Knight. This was used in sporadic alerts by New Right organizations including Concerned Women for America, Focus on the Family, and the efforts of Dr. D. James Kennedy, who was pivotal in publicizing Knight's research to help defeat a federal hate bill in 2000 (See, "How Dr. D. James Kennedy Helped Save Free Speech").

Sounding the Alarm

In 2000, my wife Alynn and I produced an 80-minute video documentary, Hate Laws: Making Criminals of Christians. With much documentation provided by Canadian free speech leader Paul Fromm and a stellar review from Michael Collins Piper of the American Free Press newspaper, many thousands of this groundbreaking video circulated throughout America and the world.

Also, hand writing every address, NPN sent 12,500 copies of my brochure to every state legislator and virtually every member of Congress, plus about eight of each of their key legislative staffers.

Yes, these were small beginnings. But at last, a consistent educational program against hate laws was underway.

Not a moment too soon! In the spring of 2002, ADL expected easy passage of its hate bill by the Senate. Yet Jim Tucker of American Free Press told me that when he attended the National Press Club at that time, reporters were abuzz with how much unusually educated protest against hate laws was bombarding members of Congress.

Emboldened by the public outcry, a handful of spirited Republican senators demanded discussion of the bill on the floor of the Senate. That's the last thing Tom Daschle and the ADL wanted. They shelved the bill for the year.

Taking to the Airwaves

In the spring of 2004 NPN and the religious right were shocked to learn ADL had quickly and quietly passed its hate bill by a vote of 65-33 in the Senate.

I was desperate to defeat the hate bill, but how? The only glimmer of hope was in burgeoning alternative talk radio. For a week, I phoned 1,400 talk radio stations in America, gleaning the names of about 350 Christian conservative talk show hosts. I sent them our hate laws brochure and an offer of a free video. Only five responded.

Then I heard of popular talk show host Pastor Ernie Sanders. He shared my burden and allowed me to speak on his program many times to alert his vast listening audience. The late Dr. David Wolfe soon did the same on the Genesis radio network, as did Bill Brumbaugh of First Amendment Radio. During the summer of 2004, as the hate bill was headed for conference, many other talk show hosts allowed me to speak. A wave of angry protest assaulted Congress. Result: Again, House Republicans, under Rep. Roy Blunt, encouraged defeat of the hate bill on Oct. 8, 2004.

ADL Goes Berserk

What happened next is still beyond belief. ADL was enraged by our defeat of their cherished thought crimes bill. On Sunday, Oct. 10, through their National Executive Board member, Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham, they arrested 11 Christians peacefully evangelizing at a large gay pride rally in downtown Philadelphia. One of the charges against the Christians was the "hate crime" of criticizing homosexuals. Total possible penalties: 47 years in prison and $90,000 fines each. Realizing God had given ADL into our hands, I took the offensive on dozens of national radio talk shows, some with Michael Marcavage, head of the "Philly 11." He and his lawyers were also extensively interviewed. Some New Right organizations, such as Concerned Women for America and WorldNetDaily, alerted millions. Despite silence from the mainstream media, we were able to trumpet news of this outrage to the entire astonished world.

International indignation against Abraham and the corrupt Philly government became so great that Abraham (herself soon the defendant in a wrongful arrest and imprisonment suit) was glad to allow a fair-minded judge and jury to drop the case against the Christians.

In my opinion, ADL's rash action against the "Philly 11" was the greatest blunder in their 89-year history. It allowed me, in the next year and half, to speak on nearly 200 talk shows. For the first time, millions of Americans were made aware of how ADL has silenced free speech in Canada and desires the same stranglehold in America.

Incredibly, however, most of the largest Christian conservative organizations gave minimum, or very belated, exposure to what happened in Philadelphia. To this hour, they have failed to provide any long-term education on the threat of thought crimes legislation.

Threat of Hate Bill Returns

Although we defeated the hate bill twice, the House in the fall of 2004 made recommendation by a nonbinding vote of 213 to 186 in favor of the hate bill. The next time the hate bill came to the House for a vote, it would surely pass. That's exactly what happened.

In October 2005, after only 45 minutes of discussion, the House passed the Hate Crimes Prevention Act as a rider on a Republican-generated bill to protect children from pedophiles.

The blitzkrieg speed of the bill's passage deeply shocked evangelicals and conservatives. They thought House Republicans would never allow it to happen. Beverly LaHaye of Concerned Women for America sputtered that passage was "inexplicable." If she and other evangelical leaders had listened to my warnings over the past year, they would have known passage was not surprising at all, but predicted.

The New Right quickly mobilized. It encouraged millions of Christians and conservatives to protest with calls to their senators and Bill Frist, Senate Majority leader. Impressive as was this response, I knew it could not win. The battle would be decided in the Senate Judiciary Committee, where, hopelessly, it seemed, Republicans against the hate bill were outnumbered 10-8.

On at least 50 talk shows, the most important of which were those with Jeff Rense, I instructed hundreds of thousands of patriots to do what few had ever asked before: Come to www.truthtellers.org for a complete list of the 18 members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Countless patriots, eager to save freedom, called protesting the hate bills.

Having saturated Judiciary for two weeks, I then posted the names of all 100 Senators, and again a vast number of patriots called each one.

In short, between an outpouring of calls generated by the New Right and myself-and a divinely imposed madness on the part of Sen. Kennedy, sponsor of the hate bill who gave up support of the bill in Judiciary at the last minute-the hate bill was defeated. (See, "Federal Hate Bill Virtually Dead ")

Hate Bill Still a Threat

Yet, contrary to what most believed, the hate bill was not dead. Sen. Kennedy still had power to revive it on the floor of the Senate-reattaching it to the children's bill just as soon as Sen. Frist brought this much-needed legislation before the Senate.

As a result, Frist (unbeknownst to supporters of the children's bill, such as Bill O'Reilly of Fox News and John Walsh of America's Most Wanted) would not let the children's bill onto the floor of the Senate. He would not allow Kennedy the opportunity to stand to his feet and demand reattachment of his hate bill to the children's legislation. Frist knew that if Kennedy got that opportunity, the Senate, having voted overwhelmingly 65-33 for the hate bill the previous spring, would certainly support Kennedy and pass it.

This standoff of Senate titans continued through the fall and then the winter session of Congress. Supporters of the children's bill, like Kathie Lee Gifford, O'Reilly and Walsh, unaware of the real reason for its delay, began making angry demands that Frist get the children's bill moving. Frist was mum concerning his real reasons for delay and wouldn't budge. He knew the extreme danger and power of Kennedy to pass the hate bill if the children's bill came before the Senate.

Finally, as tension was becoming almost explosive, I sent out my e-alert explaining to the nation that the only reason the children's bill was bottled up was because of Kennedy's determination to have his hate bill attached to it.

Less than two days later, O'Reilly exploded on Fox News, furiously accusing Kennedy of the obstructionism which I had described. Tens of thousands of calls flooded Kennedy's office. I also generated many thousands to all members of the Senate, opposing the hate bill. When Kennedy publicly announced his abandonment of attempts to pass the hate bill, I knew we had witnessed another mighty deliverance from God.

A Dangerous Time

Humanly speaking, these victories were primarily made possible because of the presence and integrity of Sen. Bill Frist and core Republicans in leadership of Congress.

Frist is now gone as Senate majority leader, replaced by no other than Sen. Harry Reid, co-sponsor with Kennedy of the Senate version of the hate bill. Similarly, House majority leader Nancy Pelosi is another long-term hate bill supporter, a pipeline from San Francisco gay activism. Such liberals and ADL lackeys are as determined to pass the hate bill as Frist was to impede it.

Now, with more than enough votes from Democrats and turncoat Republicans, it is a virtual certainty that ADL's dream legislation will be approved and move America toward a Big Brother police state.

Considering the lack of focus and inattention of the New Right and Christian evangelicals in opposing hate crimes laws, we cannot count on them to provide an offensive proactive program of resistance. Yes, they will react eventually but only at the last moment. Their stop-gap response will almost certainly be too little, too late.

Alternative talk radio, especially the Genesis and Republic networks, speaks to hundreds of thousands of focused activists. It still holds the brightest possibility, in my opinion, for another deliverance.

That is, if the talk show hosts will put me on the air. The reason I have dwelt at length on the record of myself and NPN is not to boast. Rather, it is to remind talk show hosts of my unique ability to explain the background and danger of hate laws and to generate effective protest to Congress.

It's true, especially of late, that I have had to become very critical of Jewish activism, Talmudic Judaism, and Israel. Some talk hosts may say, "I can't put Ted Pike on-ADL will make trouble and I'll lose stations!"

The truth is, talk show hosts, if you don't put me on and let me fight for your free speech, soon you'll lose not just a few stations-you'll lose everything.

With Republicans out of power, Congress must be besieged with protest as never before. With this in mind, the issue is not, "Do I dare put Ted Pike on the air?" Instead, the issue is, "Do I dare not to?"

The federal hate bill, if passed, will eventually end free speech in public life and on the internet-the lifeline of communication for talk radio to the world at large. Effective opposition in this time of crisis begins with prayer for God's help. Yet you must also educate yourself, your friends, and churches. Here's what you can do:

TALK SHOW HOSTS -

With democrats controlling Congress, their federal "anti-hate" law will be passed. If the President signs it, your career as a free speech talk show host will soon end.

Hate laws have destroyed free speech broadcasting in Canada, Europe, and Australia. You are next.

That is, unless you take action NOW to help create a tidal wave of protest to Congress.

The best way to do this to explain in depth how 'hate laws' take away freedom.

Result: Against all odds, the 'hate' bill has been repeatedly defeated.

The threat is much greater today. An explosion of protest must erupt, intimidating ADL/B'nai B'rith and the homosexual lobby, architects of this Big Brother legislation, and preventing introduction of such a bill in January.

If the 'hate' bill passes, a year or two from now you may still be on talk radio, as are many hosts in Canada. But if you criticize homosexuality, Islam or Zionism, or allow a guest to do so, you will face harsh fines and possible imprisonment. Your station will lose its broadcast license.

The alternative is to educate your listeners immediately. Only by taking decisive action can you hope to continue doing what you love.

Don't "wait and see." Don't be afraid of the ADL. Go on the offensive. Start by reading the following article: "Democrats' Control Means Hate Bill Will Pass."
